Founded by Laura Hughes in 2015, Loubud Wines specializes in small-production, traditional method sparkling wines from the cool-climate vineyards of the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara.

Named after Laura’s childhood nickname, Loubudillia, Loubud reflects a personal touch that runs through every bottle.

With winemaking roots in the Sta. Rita Hills. a degree in Viticulture & Enology from UC Davis, and experience working around the world - Burgundy, Tasmania, Napa and South Africa; Laura brings a thoughtful approach to all of her site-driven wines.

In 2023, her husband Paul joined the adventure—bringing his hand-carved wooden puzzles and sparking the idea of bubbles & puzzles, a playful pairing that defines the Loubud experience.

Today, you can find them pouring in their new tasting room in downtown Santa Barbara, where guests are welcomed with wine, puzzles, and a tail wag from their dog, Taco (on Sundays)!
